Jennifer is a self taught landscape artist living in Nova Scotia with a view from her home of the shores of the Minas Basin in front and the Cobequid Mountains behind.  Art is her passion with the ocean, mountains, lakes and forests for her inspiration.  Jennifer grew up in Northern Ireland where her early formative years were spent exploring the Glens of the North Antrim coast and the shores of the Irish Sea.

After graduation as a Home Economics teacher she married and moved to Canada where she taught in high school and community college. Following a career change in the 70’s she and her husband ventured into the world of Tourism and successfully owned and operated a Tour and Travel company, two resort hotels and a thoroughbred horse breeding farm in the 1000  Islands Region of Ontario for over 40 years . 

This however put Jennifer’s art on hold until retirement when she returned to her lifelong passion of art exploring her love of nature and the beauty of her idyllic country surroundings in rural Eastern Ontario and now more recently Nova Scotia. Her work is influenced by her photography and using the ever changing landscapes and seascapes on her doorstep for her inspiration.  Her preferred mediums are acrylic and watercolour, acrylic being the optimum method of choice.
